I installed windwos 7 in a second HD, now becomes my default boot. How can I set windows 7 to prompt for which OS I want to boot from? (XP or Windwos 7)

Download EasyBCD and go to the Change Settings Tab to set the default operating system and the timeout period. To get it, scroll down here http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and get the instructions here http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EBCD/EasyBCD+Documentation+Home

Ah, but EasyBCD can do more than simply change the default operating system and the timeout period. There are other available programs: VistaBootPro (which has fallen behind) and the in-built, cumbersome BCDEdit. In EasyBCD, there are 7 Tabs: View Settings, Change Settings, Add/Remove Entries, Advanced Options, Manage Bootloader, Diagnostics Center and Useful Utilities. Download it and have a look at what it is capable of doing.

Easybcd can also be used on older os like 2000 or xp that have no user interface for windows 7 boot entries where there would be no way other than the commandprompt to modify.
